What's going on in Year this half term?
English
Year 3 would love a pet dragon! Do you think Miss Davies will let us have one? Well, the children are going to try their hardest to persuade Miss Davies to get one. Children will use cause and effect conjunctions, include their opinions and give convincing reasons.
Maths
Year 3 will be learning about equivalent mass, time, shape and money.
History
This half term, we will be learning about the fascinating lives of a Roman soldier and looking into how they invaded many countries and put an end to the Iron Age (our previous topic). We had lots of fun turning ourselves into Roman soldiers using our ipads and labelling their attire.
.
Music
Using the glockenspiels, the children have been learning to perform a few notes to the famous song 'Three Little Birds'.
.
Science
In science, children will be exploring the meaning of 'nutrition'. They will learning about the different food groups, understand the nutrients in our food and then to use that knowledge to plan a healthy meal.
French
Bonjour! We will be continuing our learning on French animals but this half term we will be learning to ask and answers questions in French. What am I? 'Je suis in lapin.' 🐰
The competition is high in Year 3! The buzz for TTRockstars is fantastic. Here is our reigning champion from year 3, who has been awarded a Rock Star twice!
