America Day!

God Bless America!

Wow, what a day year 3 have had! We kicked it off by listening to some Native American music and recreating it with our own musical instruments. Then we zoomed forward to explore typical, popular American music during the 50s, 60s and 70s! It was amazing to see the children dancing to Elvis Presley!

After break the children had the opportunity to recreate some Native American art work - they did a grand job so we hope you love them too! We also opened our 'American Diner' for the children to taste some typical American snacks - of course this was their favourite bit!

Our day finished with an American visitor coming in to talk to the children about what life was like growing up in New Mexico! The children asked some fantastic questions and were all so enthusiastic to meet an American!

Thank you everyone who came in their wonderful American colours and to those who brought in some American treats for us! Please look at our pictures.
