Standon Bowers Day 3

Day 3 of our Standon Bowers Residential Trip has been yet another day filled with fun. It was a day very similar to day 2, as the children were split in half for activities. The children who did not participate in the Alderley Edge trip on day 2 went on day 3, whilst the others stayed on site and completed archery, team-building and climbing activities.

Yet again, we have been blown away by the children's resilience and bravery when faced with challenges. It is one of the most rewarding things to see when children who are terrified of heights, take small, progressive steps to climb to the top of the climbing wall; and children who are nervous of small spaces, crawl their way through small spaces deep underground. All children are really challenging themselves and the pride on each and every child's face is enough to make a very tired teacher's day even brighter!!

We would like to pass on our thanks to Miss Pretty who left us bright and early in the morning and to Mrs Tranter and Miss Davies who came to visit during the evening! The children have been so excited to share their experiences with their head teacher!

Some quotes of the day:

"Mrs Tranter, I have just realised I am wearing two left-footed wellies!"

"My favourite part of the day was seeing Mr Chapman getting soaking wet in the water challenge!"

We hope you are enjoying the photos and videos. If you are yet to see your child on a group of pictures/videos, please let the office know, who can then let us know. We take hundreds of photos each day and it is taking a very long time to work through each one!

Thanks!

Mr Chapman, Mr Gleeson, Mrs Connock and Mrs McMullen.
